Objective
To broaden your understanding of the history of Graphic Design.
Task.
For this task you will need a copy of Richard Hollis' 'Graphic Design — A Concise History'. It's the book I discussed in class and is referenced on an earlier blogpost HERE.
Read the introduction and chapters 1 through to 5.
Then create a mind map for each chapter that shows connections and relationships between various topics and key terms.
If you don't understand a word, look it up and add it to your notes. I will ask you to describe big words from this chapter!
Fill it with as much of the information as you can.
Top marks for those who can produce 'further research' from the contents of the chapter.
Deadline.
Bring into the first lesson back in September in preparation for a test.
